Write Your Own Flood Insurance Company List
The Write Your Own (WYO) Program, established in 1983, is a partnership between FEMA and private property and casualty insurers. It allows participating companies to issue and service Standard Flood Insurance Policies (SFIPs) under their own names. While the federal government retains responsibility for underwriting losses, companies receive an expense allowance for writing policies and processing claims. The program operates under NFIP rules and regulations.
