Help your clients be prepared for all the surprises that come their way when the river floods. Flood insurance can protect them from the river’s unexpected twists and turns.

What your clients need to know if they live in communities near waterways (e.g., rivers, streams, creeks, etc.)

  • Riverine flooding can impact homes in cities on a river or even miles away. 
  • Most homeowners and renters insurance policies do not cover flood damage, and flood insurance policies don't automatically renew. 
  • There is typically a 30-day waiting period between submitting a flood insurance policy application and the effective date.
